Trigger Job

A Trigger Job is not just reducing the pull weight of your trigger. It is an overall improvement to your triggers performance by removing creep, reducing pull weight, and reducing the reset to create a smooth overall trigger action and a more accurate firearm.

A Trigger Job is not just reducing the pull weight of your trigger. It is an overall improvement to your triggers performance by removing creep, reducing pull weight, and reducing the reset to create a smooth overall trigger action and a more accurate firearm. Having too much pull weight will reduce accuracy as you tend to pull yourself off target. With a reduced trigger pull weight you are able to maintain your sight picture and stay on target. No safeties are disabled in any way. I can do the standard trigger job without really reducing the trigger pull weight for those more comfortable with heavier a trigger. Trigger creep is that movement just before the hammer falls. When you take up the slack in your trigger until it stops, but doesn’t drop the hammer is not the creep. The creep is that slight movement that happens when you are at that stopping point and then pull to fire and the trigger has movement or travel before the hammer falls. We can get rid of that trigger creep and create a crisp clean break and reduce your pull weight with a professional trigger job.

Gun Scope & Sight Mounting

The ultimate goal when using a firearm is to hit what you are aiming at. Having the proper sighting system as well as having it mounted correctly, is at the very root of having an accurate firearm.

The ultimate goal when using a firearm is to hit what you are aiming at. Having the proper sighting system as well as having it mounted correctly, is at the very root of having an accurate firearm. There are countless types of sights and optics available today for handguns and long guns. Theses will range from the most basic sight, such as a single bead on a shotgun, to a modern red dot optic on a handgun, to a computer aided high power scope on a rifle, capable of targeting out past two miles. We also know the little things to look for to be sure you get the most out of your sighting system. Installation can be very simple or very complex, based on several factors and needs. We will also take the time to properly fit and adjust the sight to your firearm and you. Being sure to meet your needs, ensuring greater results.

Here at ACRW, we have some of the latest a greatest technology to get your gun clean and functioning as safe as the day it was new. Of course, we use lots and lots of good old fashion elbow grease that gets the job done too. We use the latest in cleaning chemicals and oils in conjunction with state-of-the-art sonic cleaners, high-pressure steam cleaners, and fiber optic cameras. Along with our working knowledge and resources, you can be sure your gun will be cleaned and lubricated and returned in safe operating condition. Lubrication is a very crucial part as well. Too much lubrication can be just as bad as not enough. Knowing where, how and how much to use, as well as the correct type to use based on conditions and the type of firearm. These all play a key part in the proper functioning of a firearm.

glass bedding

Glass Bedding is an improvement process that involves remolding or filling in the inside of the stock where the action mounts into the stock. We use an epoxy or fiber glass mixture and pour it in the stock to conform to the bottom of the receiver. We apply a release agent to the receiver so the epoxy sticks to the wood and not the receiver, then put the receiver into the stock and tighten the action down. Then you let it dry. This results in a stock that conforms to the bottom of the barrel and the receiver. Glass bedding is a way to solve a problem when the gun is not shooting accurately. Whenever the gun is taken down to be cleaned, it allows the receiver to be tightened down in the same place every time. Glass bedding along with a good trigger job are probably the two most effective actions an individual can take to improve the accuracy of their gun/firearm.
